At the award ceremony on October 11th, 2003 during the AUDIO ENGINEERING SOCIETY Convention in New York City, JBL's VT4887 won the T.E.C. (Technical Excellence & Creativity) Award sponsored by Mix Magazine

2003 Rental & Staging Systems Award, Category: "Best Audio Product".
Rental and Staging Systems Magazine readers chose the VT4888 midsize line array system to receive this prestigious award. The award ceremony took place during InfoCom in Orlando, FL.
2003 Blue Ribbon Award: "Best Live Sound Speaker".
EQ Magazine selected JBL's VERTEC System this year.
At the Audio Engineering Society's 113th Convention, held in Los Angeles September 2002, JBL's new compact and midsize models ( VT4881, VT4887, VT4888) were presented with a New Product Par Excellence award from Pro Audio Review, an industry trade publication  specializing in pro audio equipment.
