MATES REHEARSAL AND CARTAGE TAKES THE STAGE WITH JBL PROFESSIONAL VRX915M MONITORS

ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, June 19, 2007 — Demonstrating JBL Professional’s ability to provide high-performance, reliable loudspeaker solutions for the audio/video rental industry, Mates Rehearsal and Cartage, one of Los Angeles’ highest regarded rehearsal studios, cartage and rental companies, has recently bolstered its inventory with VRX915M loudspeakers. Thanks to the portability and versatility of the VRX915M monitors, Mates has used them with great success in each of its various-sized studios. Entering its 25th year, North Hollywood-based Mates features four rehearsal studios (two medium rooms and two large sound stages), and has established itself as one of the top studio, cartage and rental companies in the United States. Co-owners Bob Brunner and Jim Giglio offer a hands-on approach to providing the ultimate rehearsal experience for a range of clients. “We have a variety of clients, from arena acts down to bands playing the clubs on Sunset Strip,” Brunner said. “Regardless of the artist, Jim and I remain very involved with the day-to-day operations, making sure that all of our clients are given the first-class treatment that we pride ourselves on providing.”

A large component of this first-class service includes providing industry- leading audio technology, such as the JBL VRX915M stage monitors. “Lots of our clients see the JBL logo and it immediately provides a sense of confidence,” Brunner added. “You know it’s going to sound good when it’s a JBL loudspeaker, and that obviously reflects well on our business.”

Since using the VRX915M’s, Mates clients have continued to enjoy high-quality, reliable sound. Additionally, the seamless integration of the monitors into existing audio systems saves considerable time during setup. “We can have the VRX915M’s up and running very quickly. You plug them in and the sound is right there,” Brunner said. “There’s very little change of the EQ, which is great for us and our clients. You want to spend as little time as possible getting the sound right, and more time ensuring the artists are comfortable and making the most of their time. Just as importantly, the sound is terrific. A lot of our acts play at very high volumes, and getting over those levels is often our biggest challenge. With the VRX915M monitors, this has been a simple task.”
