NEW JBL PROFESSIONAL VRX928LA PORTABLE LINE ARRAY WINS MIPA AWARD FOR BEST PORTABLE PA PRODUCT

NORTHRIDGE, CALIFORNIA, April 23, 2007 — Reinforcing JBL Professional as the world’s foremost manufacturer of portable PA loudspeakers, the VRX928LA portable line array earned a MIPA Award for Best Portable PA Product at Pro Light & Sound 2007. This marks the third consecutive year that JBL has won the MIPA Award in this category.

The new VRX928LA follows the same engineering principles as its widely successful predecessor, the VRX932LA, but in a smaller-format, making it ideal for applications requiring line array performance without the long-throw characteristics of larger models. The VRX928LA is a lightweight, compact 8-inch, 2-way, 400-watt line array loudspeaker system that addresses size, cost and portability issues unique to mid-sized venues.

The MIPA Awards (Musikmesse International Press Award) are a collection of over 40 award categories voted on by 107 magazines from around the world. This year marked the 8th annual MIPA Awards Ceremony, which was held during the Musikmesse/Pro Light & Sound convention in Frankfurt on March 29.
