VIDEO EQUIPMENT RENTALS (VER) EXPANDS AUDIO RENTALS WITH ADDITION OF JBL VERTEC®
VT4889 SYSTEM

NORTHRIDGE, CALIFORNIA, February 1, 2006 — Video Equipment Rentals (VER), the largest nationally-located AV/broadcast and audio equipment rental company in the USA with 16 offices nationwide, recently purchased a new JBL VERTEC® system, adding to its extensive audio equipment inventory available for rent to sound reinforcement firms, corporate show designers and special-event audio teams.

"VER could have bought any brand of line array speakers we wanted,” said Joe Casanova, Audio Products Manager for VER’s Dallas-area operation. “We chose JBL VERTEC for several reasons. It has that classic JBL sound, plenty of power and yet a pure, high-fidelity quality. Additionally, the rigging is very simple to use. We're getting lots of calls to rent it. Our clients report great success on the first field projects. The VERTEC VT4889 system adds additional depth to our audio inventory to address the needs of our customers across the country.”

"VER is a highly successful company with global reach, and we're honored the company has chosen to add JBL VERTEC to their extensive inventory of loudspeaker systems," commented David Scheirman, Vice President, Tour Sound for JBL Professional. "As high-end A/V rental companies like V.E.R. make better-quality audio systems available for use by leading independent sound designers, event producers and business meeting planners, this helps upgrade the resources available to corporate clients and concert sound service providers nationwide."

Upon taking delivery of their sizeable new Crown-powered VERTEC inventory, including VT4889 line array elements along with VT4880 full-size subwoofers and VT4888 midsize enclosures, VER audio technicians received JBL's Certificate Training program in line array theory and system setup, use and maintenance. Brady Belavek, Audio Products Manager for VER's Glendale facility, hosted the training program in November for California-based staff and affiliated independent technicians while Joe Casanova organized the program for Texas-based technicians in December.
