LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, March 12, 2007 — Providing cinema exhibition and post production with unprecedented performance and versatility in a more compact format, JBL Professional today introduced the new 3631 ScreenArray® loudspeaker as the latest addition to its award-winning ScreenArray line of cinema loudspeakers. The 3631 ScreenArray features added power capabilities while maintaining a lower visual profile.
The 3631 model includes the popular 3632 mid/high frequency horn section, featuring patented Screen Spreading Compensation™ and Focused Coverage Technology™, coupled with a 600-watt low-frequency section loaded with a single 15-inch Vented Gap Cooled (VGC™) low-frequency transducer. Because of this, the 3631 ScreenArray has a lower profile than the current 3632 model, yet provides an increase in low frequency power handling. The 3631 ScreenArray system is available as both the THX-approved tri-amplified system (3631-T) or as a bi-amplified model (3631).
Many cinema and post production applications require powerful, controllable audio in a lower profile system,” said Chuck Goodsell, Director of Cinema Marketing, JBL Professional. “The addition of the new 3631 ScreenArray loudspeaker provides all of the advantages of advanced ScreenArray technology in a more compact system.”
