VERTEC® Line Array System Ensures
Successful Season Opening For Dubai Country Club

NORTHRIDGE, CALIFORNIA, October 11, 2004 — Highlighting the ease of use and superior sound quality of JBL Professional’s VERTEC® line array series, hip-hop superstar 50 Cent was on stage for the season’s first concert at the Dubai Country Club in Dubai, U.A.E. (United Arab Emirates), on September 9, 2004. With Dubai-based SLS Productions handling live sound duties, the Crown-powered system included 20 VT4888 midsize line array elements and 12 VT4880 bass enclosures.

JBL’s VERTEC Line Array Calculator software was used to determine the angles and trim height of the PA, which was controlled by a dbx 480 DriveRack® loudspeaker management system. Additionally, four JBL SR series enclosures were used as front fills and two for side fills, along with SR series subwoofers, all driven by a BSS Omnidrive™ FDS-366.
