JBL Professional Announces Three New Vice Presidents


NORTHRIDGE, CA - AUGUST 29, 2001 - JBL Professional President Michael MacDonald has announced the appointment of two Vice Presidents of Sales for the company's worldwide sales efforts and a new Vice President of Manufacturing Operations. Doug Daniel and Tom Weeber have been promoted to Vice President of International Sales and Vice President of U.S. Sales, respectively. Jeffery Groenke has been named Vice President, Operations at the company's Northridge, CA headquarters.

"To fill the open position of the Vice President of Sales, I am pleased to announce the promotion of Doug Daniel and Tom Weeber to Vice President of International Sales and Vice President of U.S. Sales respectively. These highly qualified individuals have made huge contributions to JBL Pro in the past and will provide a solid base for moving forward with sales," announced MacDonald. "In addition, we are pleased to announce that Jeffery Groenke has joined JBL Professional as our new Vice President of Manufacturing Operations."

Doug Daniel has been with JBL Professional since 1992 in the position of Director of European Sales. He is a seasoned industry veteran who has contributed tremendously to the success of JBL Pro in the UK, and now brings his experience to the entire international sales team. "I am delighted to be appointed VP of International Sales and lead a sales and distribution team that will be putting an even greater investment of time and resource into making JBL Pro products available to yet more customers worldwide," stated Daniel.

Weeber has been with the JBL sales department since 1993, where he started as Regional Manager and later promoted to Senior Director of U.S. Sales. Tom brings to his new position a wealth of experience in the industry both inside and outside of JBL Professional with 25 years of pro audio sales experience, including 12 with Yamaha Corporation of America. "We have an excellent, veteran sales team in the US and I am very pleased to have this opportunity to work even closer with JBL's representatives, retailers, and contractors to support their needs," explained Weeber.

Prior to JBL, Groenke was General Manager and Engineering Manager of Axiohm Transaction solutions and has also been an engineer for Hewlett Packard.
