HARMAN RETAIL REWARDS PROGRAM REWARDS SALESPEOPLE FOR SELLING JBL, CROWN,
DBX AND ALLEN & HEATH

ANAHEIM, CA - JANUARY 18, 2001 - Launched November 15, the Harman Retail Rewards Pro-gram lets retail salespeople earn points toward prizes such as Harman Kardon electronics, JBL and Infinity Speakers, and high end audio products from Madrigal and Revel. The program runs through March 15, 2001. Retail salespeople simply keep track of their sales of JBL, Crown, Allen & Heath and dbx products– over 100 products in all apply – from November 15, 2000 to March 31, 2001. Then, dependent only on the amount of product sold, they can choose from over 35 prizes.

"We have found that this type of sales contest, where everyone can be a winner, to be extremely successful in generating sales and building loyalty," stated Phil Moon, Director of Marketing Communications. "All salespeople can set their own goals, from a $100 pair of computer speakers to a $2000 set of premium home speakers. With four and a half months of selling, including the holiday season, we expect salespeople to earn some rather nice prizes. We’re all in the music business and upgrading our home and car entertainment systems is an excellent and appropriate incentive."

The applicable qualifying products include JBL EON, MR, TR, SR-X and studio monitors, Crown CE, K, MT, MA amplifiers and CM microphones, dbx compressors, equalizers, crossovers, and digital processors, and Allen & Heath Zone, Wizard and GL series mixing consoles.

Several Harman International companies’ products comprise the prize list. Harman Kardon products include receivers, a DVD player, CD recorder, and cassette deck. JBL and Infinity Consumer offer home stereo and cinema systems, subwoofers and auto components. The high-end Madrigal group is making the IRIQ remote control and Revel M20 speakers available. And Harman Kardon Multimedia is represented by several computer speaker systems for both PCs and Macintosh computers.
