LSR25P MONITORS FROM JBL PROVIDE REFERENCE ACCURACY AND VERSATILITY

Introduced as a compact powered studio monitor, the LSR25P has also been accepted as a versatile speaker for a number of applications. Tour support, presentation, and a variety of permanent installations are just a few of the uses for this audio problem-solving tool.

Of course the LSR25P's primary design goal was to be an accurate compact studio monitor for recording, mixdown, and production for both stereo and multichannel audio. Its compact size and scalable consistency to its larger LSR counterparts allows the LSR25P to excel as a portable reference standard. Studios, engineers and producers around the world travel with their own LSR25Ps for consistent audio wherever they work. Grammy award winner Rafa Sardina, who has worked with Luis Miguel, Macy Gray, Dru Hill, Mariah Carey, Juan Gabriel, Sheryl Crow and many others, states "The impressive low frequency response and wide dynamic range has allowed me to concentrate on the creative side of music. The high output, portability and shielded construction make the LSR25P an ideal speaker for a mix position monitor for concerts and other live sound events. FOH mixers David Morgan (Paul Simon), Monte Lee Wilkes (Brittany Spears, Go-Go's) and Kevin Elson (Journey) all count on LSR25Ps to give them the console-top audio reference needed to provide the best live sound possible.

Many of the top touring acts now make digital multi-track recordings of every concert they play. Compact digital recorders make it economically feasible and practical to do so. On the current US Journey tour, Clair Brothers' C. J. Patterson uses LSR25P's to monitor those live recordings.

LSR25Ps have also found their way into permanent installations. Excellent, clear sound and the convenience of the built-in amplifier allow these monitors to be used in board and meeting rooms, kiosks, trade show presentations, and more. In one of the more unique uses, forty-eight LSR25P's were recently installed in the Federal Court House in Phoenix for use by the judges.

Featuring many of the technologies that have made the JBL LSR Series so successful, including an advanced HF driver and JBL's low frequency transducer technologies, the LSR25P establishes an entirely new standard for multimedia, audio-for-video and even edit room monitoring. The JBL LSR25P offers virtually distortion-free operation even at the highest operating levels while offering full-frequency performance from 60 Hz to 20 kHz 2 dB with a low frequency extension to 48kHz at -10.

Scalable amplitude monitoring, as defined by JBL Professional, is based on volume/distance ratio and is the ability of a standardized monitoring system to provide a monitor with the appropriate SPL level for different sized listening environments. The LSR25P delivers the timbre-matched performance to the larger LSR28P and LSR32 when used in the appropriate environment.
