BOCA RATON, FLORIDA - JANUARY 17, 2002 - Set off the street in one of
Boca Raton's busiest areas, the B'nai Torah Temple is more than
a synagogue. The Temple is a complete educational, community and
religious complex serving the Boca Raton area. In 2001, the management
of the temple opted to completely renovate their main 600-seat sanctuary.
The high-ceiling room was also in great need of a new sound system
and at the recommendation of TM Sound and Lighting, JBL Professional's
new EVO Intelligent Speaker System was installed.
"The B'nai Torah Temple was in need of a complete renovation. They
knocked down walls and reworked the decorative arch of the ceiling
and the front of the room. Several sound systems had been installed
over the years, but the audio quality was never quite right,"
stated John Beers of TM Sound and Lighting. "The EVO speakers,
which replaced the main loudspeaker system, not only fit into
the new design of the structure, but they aesthetically complement
it as well. They just seem to blend into the room."
B'nai Torah
Temple's new EVO system was inaugurated on the high holy days
in September 2001. "Cantor Simon Spiro and the Montreal Choir
sounded fantastic," stated Beers. "They are extremely
pleased with the sound quality of their new EVO System. For the
first time, the temple sounds as beautiful as it looks."
The EVO Intelligent
loudspeaker system installed at the B'nai Torah Temple includes
two EVOi.324 powered speakers mounted on the sides of the stage.
Each speaker is plugged into the adjacent AC outlet and a standard
XLR cable runs from the speaker to the EVOi.net controller at
the mix position. Each EVO speaker is a three-way system with
1200 watts of internal power and built-in electronics to allow
it to compensate for environmental changes and suppress feedback
upon occurrence. The EVOi.net controller facilitates the tuning
and equalization of the EVO speakers.
In the event
that the Temple later chooses to add rear speakers, the EVOi.net
would automatically set the delays between the front and rear
speakers for maximum intelligibility and clarity. The system can
also be monitored and controlled via computer using the free EVO
DCI software with computer access through an RS232 port on the
front of the EVOi.net.
