HARMAN’s JBL Professional All Weather Loudspeakers Are Ideal for
Amusement Parks and Outdoor Attractions

JBL Professional’s AWC129 is one of the first models in the AWC Series of compact, allweather loudspeaker systems.

ORLANDO, Florida — Providing the perfect solution for amusement parks, theme parks and other outdoor applications, HARMAN’s JBL Professional is showcasing its All Weather AW and AWC (All Weather Compact) Series loudspeakers, designed to withstand the rigors of year-round outdoor use. JBL AW and AWC Series models combine durable construction with premium drivers and components to deliver clear, intelligible speech and music reproduction over a wide area. The All Weather Series was designed for applications that require the highest level of fidelity for safety announcements and theme music.

The seven All Weather models include the new AWC82 and AWC129 compact coaxial speakers (12-inch coaxial driver and 8-inch coaxial driver, respectively) along with the AW295 and AW266 2-way, 12-inch speakers, and AW595, AW566 and AW526 2-way, 15-inch speakers.

“In amusement parks environments quality audio systems are heard and not seen. Our JBL Professional all-weather loudspeakers offer the highest level of sonic integrity in outdoor environments, in a lightweight compact form factor that can be inconspicuously installed almost anywhere,” stated Van Williamson, Business Development Manager, Commercial Systems for HARMAN Professional.

The JBL full-size AW All Weather models feature multilayer glass composite enclosures and 14-gauge stainless steel mesh grilles backed with open-cell foam and stainless steel mesh that provide protection even in the harshest environments. In addition, the drivers are weather-treated and the speaker terminals are housed in a recessed compartment that is protected by a panel cover, ready for water-tight gland nut fitting. All models have an IP-56 outdoor rating and can be operated either 8-ohm direct or on a 70-volt or 100-volt distributed audio system using the speakers’ built-in transformers.

The newly available AWC129 and AWC82 feature coaxial drivers with highfrequency compression drivers and Kevlar®-reinforced woofers with hightemperature polymer diaphragms, for high output levels with low distortion. The AWC129 provides a 120 x 120 degree coverage area while the AWC82 delivers 90 x 90 degree coverage, making them ideal where wide dispersion is required over a larger area.

Every All Weather Series loudspeaker comes with a heavy-duty U-type mounting bracket that enables the speakers to be installed on flat surfaces or in 90-degree corners. All models come in gray or black finish and can be painted.
