| NOVEMBER
13, 2003 – HOUSTON, TEXAS - Technical production
needs for “River of Life”, the National Catholic
Youth Conference’s annual multi-venue gathering, were handled
by Q Gets It. The integrated production services company, with
offices in Nashville and Philadelphia, has pulled together a
broad range of sound systems and audio technicians to serve the
conference. The two major venues, Reliant Stadium and the Astrodome,
were both equipped with portable JBL VERTEC® line array systems
for the event. The VERTEC VT4889 full-range and VT4880 subwoofer
arrays for both venues are powered by Crown Macro-Tech series
amplifiers.
Sponsored by the National Federation for Catholic Youth Ministry,
the major religious conference is one of the largest events of
its type in the nation. From November 13-16, teens from across
The North America are attending presentations and concerts featuring
inspirational speakers and musical groups, including Tony Alonso,
Matt Maher, Briana and Ceili Rain.

Sound reinforcement
needs for such a complex, multi-venue conference are staggering. “We try to select the appropriate sound
systems to match up with the program material and venue characteristics,” advised
Howard Jones, Vice President of Audio for Q Gets It. “We
really appreciate the way that JBL’s VERTEC system goes
up so easily, and the VERTEC arrays give an extremely professional
appearance which is important to our client. And of course we
require loudspeaker systems with excellent coverage and output
power capabilities when dealing with challenging buildings like
the Astrodome.”
To cover audio needs
for “River of Life”, the NCYC’s
biggest single event of the year, Q Gets It has coordinated the
hire and onsite set-up of multiple sound systems from various
firms like Sound Image, Atlas Sound, Gulf Coast Sound and LD
Systems.
