NORTHRIDGE, California – Mac Audio, one of Brazil’s leading concert audio system service providers, recently purchased a large HARMAN JBL VT4889ADP-DA powered VERTEC® line array system equipped with JBL DrivePack™ technology and JBL’s latest DPDA (DrivePack Digital Audio) input modules. “VERTEC is widely accepted as an industry standard, so it continues to be the proper choice for our company and Reveillon,” said Paula Roldao, Executive Manager, Mac Audio. “Our company has used JBL for more than 20 years and the VERTEC rider acceptance continues to be the reason why we stick with the product.”
Mac Audio is now deploying the new system at a broad range of concerts and
special events, bolstering its already extensive rental inventory. A recent highprofile
field application took place during a gigantic beach party held at the
Santa Clara Outdoor Arena on Copacabana Beach in Rio De Janeiro, as the
city celebrated Reveillon 2011, one of the most highly anticipated New Year’s
Eve celebrations in the world. This year’s event attracted more than two million
revelers, and Mac Audio supported performers such as Grupo Styllo X,
Herbert Levy, Daniela Mercury along with multiple DJ’s and dance groups on
the Palco Beat 98, Palco Brasil, Palco Santa Clara and Palco Oi FM stages.
Many of Brazil’s most famous artists successfully rang in the new year
amongst their fans at this year’s celebration, where the logo for the 2016
Summer Olympics in Brazil was also officially unveiled.
Responsible for setting up four stages and perfecting the sound in only one
day at Reveillon 2011, Mac Audio prefers to work with powered arrayable
loudspeaker systems to ease setup. “The JBL speakers performed very well
during the celebrations at Copacabana Beach,” noted Roldao. “This not only
allowed everyone to enjoy the festival, but also speaks very highly for JBL and
the VERTEC line.
