| NORTHRIDGE,
CALIFORNIA, October 7, 2005 — In a move that builds upon
the success of its LSR Linear Spatial Reference Series studio
monitors, JBL Professional
today introduced the exciting JBL LSR4300 Series that brings
revolutionary capabilities to computer-based project studios,
post-production and broadcast facilities.

“A great deal has changed in the recording environment
in recent years,” Chaikin said. “A large segment
of the market is working in rooms that are acoustically less-than-perfect.
Our goal with the development of the LSR4300 family was to provide
a superb-sounding studio monitor system that takes into account
the acoustic realities of the modern recording environment.”
JBL has developed the LSR4300 with the understanding that many
home studios and smaller recording facilities are less than ideal
from an acoustic standpoint.
Building on the high-performance requirements of JBL’s
LSR Series and incorporating next-generation automated version
of JBL’s RMC™ Room Mode Correction technology, the
LSR4300 Series plays with stunning accuracy while overcoming
room problems that have plagued mixers and project studios. Each
speaker has a built-in analyzer that measures and automatically
compensates for low-frequency problems caused by standing waves
and boundaries. Calibration of the system is simply accomplished
by connecting a supplied calibration microphone to the speaker
and pressing a button. The RMC system can be calibrated and settings
can be viewed on the computer desktop using LSR4300 Control Center
Software.
With surround
sound production on the rise, the LSR4300 system is engineered
to be ”surround smart.” The Harman
HiQnet network along with LSR4300 Control Center Software simplify
setup of large surround systems with up to eight LSR4326P or
LSR4328P monitors in a single system. Recognizing the smaller
facility may not have the space to place surround and center
channels at the optimum distance, the LSR4300 virtually aligns
each speaker on the network to compensate for variations in placement
of each speaker and precisely balance sound arriving at the mix
position.
Commented
Chaikin, “With networking and automated RMC™,
the LSR4300 Series delivers exceptional accuracy at the mix position,
in any room while providing tremendous convenience for the computer
recording customer.”
JBL LSR4328P
and LSR4326P Series Studio Monitors are available in pair packs
that include an accessory kit containing a calibration
microphone, remote control, LSR4300 Control Center Software,
USB and network cables. Manufacturer’s suggested retail
price for the LSR4326P 6” system with accessory kit is
$1,399 per pair. MSRP for the LSR4328P 8” system with accessory
kit is $1,699 per pair.
