FULL SAIL PUTS JBL AT THE HEAD OF THE CLASS

NORTHRIDGE, CALIFORNIA, November 16, 2004 -- In a project that demonstrates the sonic consistency of JBL Professional loudspeakers from studio monitors to cinema sound systems, the prestigious Full Sail Real World Education institute in Orlando, Florida has begun installing JBL LSR6300 in its classrooms and production studios and Crown-powered JBL ScreenArray products on its new dubbing stage. These facilities used for the school's recording arts and film programs, will be completed by the end of 2004.

Full Sail has outfitted seventeen production facilities and classrooms with stereo and 5.1 configurations of JBL’s new LSR6300 studio monitors. The state of the art dubbing stage is equipped with a JBL Screen Array system, and an LSR6300 5.1 system for near-field monitoring at the mixing console. Full Sail also geared-up with twenty-four JBL SRX Sound Reinforcement speakers to meet the requirements of the school’s Sound Dynamics course. JBL expertise in studio, cinema, and live sound applications ensured sonic consistency across all three applications and projects developed at Full Sail will translate perfectly to the outside world.

In deciding which audio products to install for its facilities, Full Sail needed high-quality systems that would add to the overall learning experience. "JBL is widely recognized as a leader in the post-production and theatrical presentation markets," said Bill Smith, Recording Arts Program Director, Full Sail Real World Education. "It's important that Full Sail students use the same hardware and software they're going to encounter in their professional careers, so this was a very natural choice."

Additionally, Smith added that a high priority was placed on using a system that would translate across the different rooms. The LSR6300 Series, is preferred in post applications in part because of its sonic consistency with JBL large-format cinema systems used in theatres and post-production dubbing stages. "It's crucial for us to be able to have projects 'travel' from room to room without having the sound change in the process,” Smith said. The LSR 6300 systems with Room Mode Correction have pretty much eliminated that problem for us. The RMC system that is included with the LSR 6300 surround package allows us to 'dial in' the monitoring systems in all of our post facilities,"
