dB Sound, Inc. (Des Plaines, IL) has just purchased a new JBL HLA system. A total of 20 HLA 4895's are being provided by dB Sound to the New World Ampitheater near Chicago to provide a high-output, defined-coverage solution to the huge outdoor audience area. This shed-type venue features the nation's largest lawn seating sector for a site of this type, and can accommodate in excess of 40,000 people. (dB Sound, a JBL dealer for more than 20 years, is world-renowned for their work on the Rolling Stones' recent world tour). Facility management reports that already, 3 similar buildings in the USA are planning to add HLA based on the positive results of initial system testing last week.
