We have used HLA 's in small theaters onseveral occasions now. We use a 1:1 ratio of High packs to subs. I have done 700-1,500 seat venues with balcony's mostly. I usually have 2-3 per side depending on room width. I then tilt them back at 7 or 15 degrees (depending on the venue). It has worked great. Just watch your spl. It gets loud quick.
