After much research and conversations w/QSC(Dave DeLeon) we wanted to try a different approach with our HLA Amp racks. Each rack contains (1) 2.0HV(HF) (1)4.0 (HMid), (1)9.0 (LMid),(2) 9.0 (Subs). (The standard configuration for (8) 4895 & (4) 4897) All of our PD's are 3-phase and are always tied-in. Worst case we get single phase(220VAC) power. We bought all export 240VAC amps. AT clipping the entire rack draws only 45 amps. This allows us to to use a standard Hubbell 50A 125/240VAC 4-pin plug and 6/4SO cable. Motion Labs built our breaker panel which has a ganged 2-pole breaker for each amplifier and a spare for an aux receptical (120VAC). The neutral in the 6/4SO is only used for the aux receptical. The amps all get 2-hots and a ground. We have used the racks this way for over a year with no problems. If you would like more details I have lots of drawings.
