Control 300 are larger systems than the Control Contractor 24 and 26 models, with 200 mm (8 in) and 300 mm (12 in) low-frequency drivers, high-power compression drivers, and higher sound output capabilities.

Whereas the current Control Contractor ceiling speaker models are of an "integrated" design -- with pre-attached backcans -- these large-format speakers are sold separately from the backcans, allowing for pre-installation of the backcans. The main item is the driver assembly pre-mounted to a baffle, as shown in the picture, below. Accessories, sold separately, include best-in-class metal back boxes and contemporary grilles.
